AuxA is proud and humbled to announce the organization has been recognized with the highest levels of nonprofit excellence by two independent organizations. AuxA has been conferred with the Platinum Seal of Transparency for 2021 by Guidestar, the world’s largest source of nonprofit information. The Platinum level requires the submission of rigorous metrics and it provides a new way for the public to understand our progress and results. AuxA has additionally received a rating of 100 out of 100 by Charity Navigator, the nation’s most used charity evaluator.
To achieve this level of excellence, AuxA has had to publish extensive information that includes in-depth financial information, goals, strategies, and capabilities as well as metrics of our progress and results in working towards our mission. AuxA is committed to supporting the financial needs of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary (USCGAux) while maintaining the same level of duty to the supporters and stakeholders of AuxA. These achievements are evidence of the commitment to show not only what we accomplish but how and why AuxA operates. Aiming to give donors, funders, and partners transparency to provide the information to evaluate the organization and the impact being made. In supporting the USCGAux, currently one of AuxA’s major efforts is the Campaign for Zero (CFZ). CFZ is a fundraising campaign whose aspiration is zero deaths on the water by raising money for USCGAux Recreational Boating Safety (RBS) efforts. The CFZ Committee members are: ADM Thad Allen, USCG (ret.); GEN George Casey, US Army (ret.); VADM Terry Cross, USCG (ret.); Chris Edmonston, President, BoatUS Foundation; VNACO Gus Formato, USCGAux; Ted Leonsis, President/CEO, Monumental Sports; James Losi, USCGAux and Member Board of Trustees, USCG Academy; NACO Alex Malewski, USCGAux; and COMO Vincent Pica, USCGAux and President/CEO, AuxA. The future is bright for the efforts of CFZ and everyone involved at AuxA is honored to support the efforts of our dedicated USCGAux members in RBS. |
