Operation Life Ring, the Coast Guard Auxiliary Association’s Disaster Relief program in support of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, has been activated to assist Auxiliary families affected by HURRICANES HARVEY, IRMA, AND MARIA. In September 2005, after the unprecedented devastation and the resulting catastrophe created by hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the Coast Guard Auxiliary Association initiated Operation Life Ring to assist Auxiliary family members severely impacted by that storm.
Through the lessons we learned from that horrific event, we determined that our contingency planning must include provisions for the welfare of Auxiliary members and their families severely impacted by such events. Today, Operation Life Ring remains a critical part of our contingency planning to respond to such emergencies.
Here is your opportunity to provide a donation, in whatever amount you feel you can give, to support to your fellow shipmates and their families hit by this tragedy.
Your donations through Operation Life Ring are specifically earmarked to provide disaster relief for Auxiliary members and their families so that we may meet the urgent needs of our shipmates as they arise.
