Motorola Solutions Foundation funds Incident Management Training

The Coast Guard Auxiliary Association was the recipient of a generous national grant through the Motorola Solutions Foundation. The funds were designated and used to support key incident management training for U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary volunteers from throughout the country. The training was recently conducted at the Auxiliary’s National Training event in St. Louis, Missouri. Attendees included volunteers from the sixteen Auxiliary districts/regions and their local area Sectors.

The Coast Guard Auxiliary Association is a 501(c) (3) and is the only not-for-profit organization authorized by the Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard to support the Auxiliary and manage their financial affairs. It seeks funding to meet the Auxiliary’s needs not funded by the U.S. Coast Guard.

The Motorola Solutions Foundation is also a not-for-profit organization founded by Motorola Solutions to help first responder-type organizations with their training. Their grant significantly assisted in providing this key training to the Auxiliary volunteers.
