CGAuxA expenses cover operating budgets for the National Executive Committee, Directorates, and National Staff Departments. Included in these budgets are travel, meetings and communications expenses. Principal sources of income are member dues and sales of public education material. A more detailed explanation is available in the Coast Guard Auxiliary Association, Inc. statement of revenue and expense which is published annually in THE NAVIGATOR.

The National Commodore serves as the President of CGAuxA, Inc. with other members of the NEXCOM serving as vice Presidents while District Commodores serve as corporation Directors. The President appoints a secretary, treasurer and comptroller. Details are contained in the CGAuxA bylaws and standing rules (both in Adobe Acrobat™ format). Support functions are organized in a National Support Element (N-SE) that is supervised by the First Vice President. An organizational chart is also available in Adobe Acrobat™ format (5K).

A key activity of CGAuxA is the pursuit of partnerships and alliances with other organizations that will enhance the US Coast Guard Auxiliary's recreational boating safety programs. In addition to promoting boating safety some alliances may contain financial or other types of benefits to CGAuxA or members of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. Among the alliances in effect are agreements signed with the American Sailing Association, Boat/US (150kb), Boater's World (95kb), West Marine (180kb) and Lighthouse Uniform Company (7KB).

To reach more boaters in support of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary's recreational boating safety programs CGAuxA will be exploring a broad array of partnerships and financial activities consistent with the organizations nonprofit status. It is CGAuxA's goal to bring benefits to the recreational boating public and the US Coast Guard Auxiliary membership.
