Attendance Overview

The theme for NACON 2008 is Recruiting, Retention and Responsibility – National Commodore Steve Budar’s watch words for his term of office.  This year’s NACON will include the election of National Officers following the opening ceremonies on Friday morning August 22nd.  A new attendee’s orientation will be held on Thursday afternoon with general training sessions available on both Friday and Saturday afternoon.

 

THURSDAY AREA HOSPITALITY:  Experience food, drink and friends from the various Districts making up the three National Areas of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.

 

FRIDAY FUN NIGHT: Aruba – Jamaica – Bermuda – Bahamas - Key Largo – Montego - Kokomo – be prepared to enjoy the refreshing atmosphere of the Caribbean Isles.  Get there fast then take it slow and spend a special evening with your friends and shipmates.  Enjoy dinner, your favorite libation, special entertainment and have a great time.  You will not want to miss this great event!

 

SATURDAY COMMODORE’S BANQUET: This formal, eloquent event is the conclusion of our time together.  It includes the banquet dinner, prestigious awards presentations and a key note address by the Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard.  It is a time to enjoy your last opportunity to visit with new and old friends – a night to remember.
